One Time Fee: For the use of the patented protocols within a “Territory” – defined as a specified geographic location and the area within the zip code of that location.

Training: Training will be provided to the Licensee and staff in the patented (or patent-pending) protocols and technique. A minimum of 3 (three) days of training is required.

Royalty Payment: A fixed monthly royalty is applied.

Treatment and Testing: These personalized treatment treatment protocols are guided and validated by a battery of testing. A detailed Procedure Manual is included in the package. The standard protocol involves 2 treatments per week with a typical course of 20 treatments, but the protocol is personalized. Testing is cutting-edge and includes optional quantitative EEG (WAVI qEEG device or similar qEEG – sold separately), pupil reflex testing (sold separately), neurocognitive testing (Cambridge Brain Science – sold separately), balance testing, and questionnaires (provided). Testing is performed at baseline, midpoint, and end of treatment.

Report and Forms Boilerplates: Boilerplates for testing questionnaires, forms, and final patient report are provided so that the package is essentially turn-key.

Brochure and Information Sheets Boilerplates: Boilerplates for patient brochures, information sheets, and supportive research papers are provided so that the package is essentially turn-key.

Licensing of Protocols in claims derived from United States Patent No. US 9,950,189, United States Patent No. US 10,905.897 B2 (2021) and any patent issued in the future from any reissue, reexamination, divisional, continuation, and/or continuation-in-part of the Licensed Patents, including any foreign counterpart thereof, as well as any patent pending techniques, involving the use of near-infrared light in the range of 800 to1064 nm in pulsed or non-pulsed modes and power ranges of 10.0 to 30.0 Watts or above, with or without the addition of ketamine, for the treatment of many neurological conditions including, but not limited to: Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI); Idiopathic Parkinson’s Disease (IPD); Alzheimer’s Disease, Senility, and Dementia (ADSD); Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); Depression and Anxiety (DA); Multiple sclerosis (MS); and Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI), stroke (STR), neuropathy/polyneuropathy (PNL), radiculopathy / radiculitis (RDL), and mitochondrial dysfunction (MTD).

Message from Charles Vorwaller - developer and President of Aspen Laser:

A little background history…. This journey began in 2014, when I was facilitating a new clinical study using infrared laser and LED therapy to treat Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) with Drs. Morries and Henderson in Denver, Colorado.

Initially, we worked in the laboratory to test the penetration capabilities of existing lasers and LED units – from Class 1 to Class 3 and Class 4 laser models with varying levels of power settings and wavelengths and discovered that none of them penetrated the skull or reached the brain. These studies, using sheep heads, remain a cornerstone of the literature on penetration (Henderson & Morries, 2015). We decided to develop a laser model that would simultaneously provide two wavelengths – 810nm and 980nm  with adjustable power levels and operating modes (CW and Pulse).

The result was the launch of the SUMMIT 20 watt Dual – Wavelength laser, that was able to show penetration through the scalp and skull, and into the brain, and facilitated healing and recovery.

At the end of the study, we videotaped each patient and as I stood there and listened to their stories. It brought tears to my eyes to see lives changed and improved because of new technology that I had developed.

Over the past 5 years, there have been some new laser models launched by competitor laser companies, but none of them have had any significant changes or technological advancements. In contrast, we have had our “nose to the grindstone” in pushing the boundaries beyond all the lasers in the market. On our development path, we developed the Pinnacle 30 watt Dual – Wavelength laser and then the Pinnacle PRO 60 watt Dual – Wavelength laser. Each created new manufacturing and operational challenges; however, we persevered and found increased treatment options and results.

We have also dedicated a tremendous amount of time researching clinical studies and speaking with doctors and scientists in the USA and internationally. Some of them shared information and data regarding various wavelengths and multi-wavelength technologies. One of these wavelengths was 1064nm, that was increasing in clinical use in Europe, but not in the USA. Our research indicated that the depth of penetration was deeper with 1064nm and that it did not create an increase in thermal output when a higher power level was used with this wavelength that one would see with the 980nm wavelength. There was also less absorption with darker skin and hair.

The first differentiating factor are diodes that use our PowerDose Diode Technology. Our diodes are individual diodes, with a single wavelength, manufactured at the highest power output (15 watts) with a combined output of 47 watts for the NEUROLASER TRI-WAVE. This is important as competitor lasers use diodes at lower power levels per wavelength, or multiple low power diodes that are linked together, with both unable to achieve the power level that our single high power diode can. A very important factor is that our diodes provide Average Power output and not Peak Power. Average Power is what provides the most energy to elicit a therapeutic response, while Peak Power is a marketing gimmick used to cover up inferior or significantly lower power lasers.

The second differentiating factor is our state of the art Wavelength MultiPlexer Technology. This technology allows multiple wavelengths to be controlled by the user. Competitor lasers do not allow this and rely on internal changes to be derived from a series of onscreen selections or preset protocols. Ironically, the internal changes made are not significant as the power level behind a wavelength is too low in power.

The Wavelength MultiPlexer Technology is showcased by our new 1064nm “long” wavelength; that as a single wavelength or a blended wavelength offers greatly needed treatment options that have not been available until now.

The third differentiating factor is our new SmartMode Controls Technology. Our high power diodes provide both continuous wave and pulsing. A current trend in competitor lasers is to use low power or small laser units that can “only” offer pulsed or super-pulsed (note – super-pulsed does not work) operating modes, which also rely on marketing gimmicks to cover up inferior laser technology. Some also promote the use of only continuous wave, with no pulsing.

The fourth differentiating factor is our new Patient Response Driven (PRD) Protocols Technology. Our protocols are based on the synergistic combination of “all” our features, that generate positive outcomes with each treatment. Every patient responds differently to each element of a laser therapy treatment which requires the ability to select treatment options and adjust them based on the patient’s response. We can reduce the “plateau” effect that often occurs when patients build up a conditioning response to stimulus that does not vary.
